&lt;p&gt;About 2 weeks ago we had Eid (Muslim holy festival after Ramadan). Government announced 4 days of holiday for the occasion. Every one was joyous and happy for dressing up meeting with relatives expecting gifts and what not, I was feeling the same way but had this concern which was not letting me get sync with the holiday spirit, and that was how the hell am I going to avoid all the juicy fatty meals through out the holiday. Started googling for tips found some which I followed to the best of my strengths. Find these tips below:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Here are Holiday Season Survival Tips&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Don’t skip your workouts.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;No time for an hour workout? Try 20 minutes at a higher intensity. Or 20 minutes period.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Can’t even find 20 minutes? Take the stairs, stand while at work, ride your bike to work, do squats while talking on the phone, park further away, etc. The little things add up.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Can’t even do those? Stop Right There. Now you’re just in total excuse mode, and excuses definitely don’t yield success:)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Eat home-cooked meals as often as possible, since you’re likely to attend a lot of holiday parties for many other meals.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Don’t go to a holiday party hungry. Ever!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Watch what you drink at holiday parties. Not only do carbonated beverage calories add up, but they also cause impulse eating and overeating.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Drink a lot of water to keep well hydrated.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sleep. Don’t get so overbooked that the night routine suffers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Stay inspired. I use this Pinterest board to stay inspired daily. I’m always adding to it to keep the motivation and momentum.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;These survival tips are not rocket science. They are merely meant to be reminders - for myself as well and worked pretty good for me during Eid holidays!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The bottom line is that the healthier we stay, the happier we are all season long.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Try to pick up the habbit of drinking ice water on regular bases. Experts say that when you drink ice water which is fairly around &lt;span&gt;&lt;span&gt;4 degrees Celsius, your body will start burning calories to bring it down to body temperature, which is about 37.5 degrees Celsius; that’s a difference of 33.5 degrees. To raise 1 gram of water 1 degree Celsius, 1 calorie is expended. (This is a “little” calorie—what scientists use to measure small units of energy.
